Dancin' Downtown at The Joyce Theater is the only competition providing dance students the opportunity to be seen by a diverse and distinguished group of dance luminaries on one of the most prestigious dance stages in New York City, The Joyce Theater. Returning for its third year, the competition has an impressive list of acclaimed judges and more awards for talent, including a performance opportunity at “City Parks Foundation SummerStage” in New York. The top 14 dance schools were selected based on their submissions to compete on The Joyce Theater stage on April 2. The prizes include the 2012 Joyce Theater Performance Award, the 2012 Joyce Theater Choreography Award, and scholarships to dance conventions, intensives and more.
